Set Up Your Device for Datacasting

Overview

This guide explains how to confirm your device has the correct Datacasting software, register it with support, and verify that the Datacasting web interface is active. Completing these steps ensures your device can receive Datacasting content and updates.


Step 1: Check Your Software Version

  1. Power on your set-top box.

  2. Open Settings → About.

  3. Check the Software Version field.

    • The Datacasting software version begins with ANTB1D.

  4. If it does not start with ANTB1D, go to Update → Check for Updates.

  5. If no update is available, or the version still does not begin with ANTB1D after updating, note your Receiver ID and contact support.


Step 2: Find Your Receiver ID

  1. In the same About page, locate the Receiver ID.

  2. Record it exactly as shown. Each device has a unique Receiver ID.


Step 3: Register Your Receiver ID

Send your Receiver ID to the support team by email or through the registration form.
They will assign your device to the Datacasting configuration group so it can receive the correct updates and content.


Step 4: Verify the Datacasting Interface

After registration is confirmed:

  1. Reboot your device.

  2. Open the local web interface in your browser (for example, http://adth.local).

  3. Look for a Datacasting link or tab in the interface.

    • If you do not see it immediately, open the Downloads page and refresh once.

Step 5: First Update and Reboot

Your device may automatically install a small Datacasting update.
Allow it to finish and reboot automatically.
After reboot, the Datacasting link should remain visible in the web UI.


Expected Results

  • The Software Version begins with ANTB1D.

  • The Datacasting tab or link is visible in the web interface.

  • The device is ready to scan and receive Datacasting content.
