How to turn on/off the Beta Version

The box has a Beta Version option, which lets you receive pre-release software early and try features before they reach everyone. It has been available since version 1.0.84.

Here are the steps on how to turn on the Beta version.

1. Navigate to Settings > About.

2. Turn on the Beta Version toggle.

3. Select Check for updates.

The Beta version is still being tested and you may encounter some errors. If you want to turn off the beta version, please follow the following steps:

1. Navigate to Settings > About.

2. Turn off the Beta Version toggle.

3. Select Check for updates.

What to expect on the beta channel

• Beta builds are still being tested, so you may hit problems that are not present on the main release. That is the trade for getting features early.
• If you contact support while on a beta build, please tell us. It changes what we check first, and it saves a round of questions.
• To see which build you are on, go to Settings, then About, and note the version shown. Quoting that version in any support request is the single most useful thing you can include.
• If you would rather not run pre-release software, leave the Beta Version toggle off and the box will follow the normal release channel.
