Supported Devices Guide

This guide provides a list of tested and recommended devices that are compatible with the ADTH NextGen TV USB tuner. Devices are evaluated based on their support for ATSC 1.0 and ATSC 3.0 standards.

Field Descriptions

  • Brand: The manufacturer of the device (e.g., Sony, TCL, Chromecast).

  • Device Name: Commercial name or product line (e.g., Fire TV Stick 4K).

  • Model Number: Specific model identifier.

  • OS/Platform: What system the device runs on (e.g., Android TV, Google TV, Fire OS).

  • ATSC 1.0 Support: Whether it can display ATSC 1.0 channels via the tuner.

  • ATSC 3.0 Support: Whether it can display ATSC 3.0 (NextGen TV) channels via the tuner.

  • Notes: Any special notes (e.g., “Requires app update”, “Limited to 720p output”, etc.).


Additional Notes

  1. Devices not listed here may simply not have been tested yet.
    This list will be updated over time as more devices are evaluated.

  2. ATSC 1.0 and ATSC 3.0 support is based on the device’s hardware decoding capabilities.
    However, even if the device itself cannot decode certain formats, it may still work through passthrough, allowing an external speaker or receiver to handle the decoding.

  3. Devices must support USB OTG (On-The-Go) functionality and allow permission access to external USB tuners.

  4. Some devices may require a firmware or app update.
