How to Play Encrypted Channels on ADTH NextGen TV USB?

Modified on Tue, 15 Apr at 5:52 AM

ADTH NextGen TV USB is a certified device that complies with the A3SA standard and supports playing encrypted channels in online mode. To successfully play encrypted channels, please check that your host device meets the following requirements:

  1. Ensure that your host device supports Widevine DRM L1.

    • Most certified Android TV, Google TV, or Fire TV devices typically support Widevine L1.

    • You can check your device’s DRM level using the free DRM Info app (available on the Google Play Store). The information can be found under the Security Level section within Widevine CDM

    • Devices with only Widevine L3 have not been approved to play ATSC3.0 encrypted content and may experience issues during playback.

  2. Make sure your device is connected to the Internet.

    • Internet access is required to retrieve decryption keys and authenticate protected content.

  3. Ensure “Automatic date & time” is enabled

    • Go to Settings > System Settings

    • Go to Device Preferences > Date & Time

    • Enable "Automatic date & time", and select "Use network-provided time"
